The Lean Machine
A brand new website for an established meal prep company that aims to offer easy food ordering.

Transforming into a Full E-Commerce Platform
The original TheLeanMachineSD.com website was a basic informational site without any ability to take online orders, limiting business growth opportunities.
My role was to redesign the website to integrate a fully functional e-commerce system where customers could view meal options, customize their orders, and check out seamlessly.
I migrated the site to a more scalable WordPress platform and implemented WooCommerce, customizing it to handle complex meal prep options like portion sizes, dietary filters, and recurring orders.
The company launched a professional online store that allowed them to increase orders by offering a smoother, more convenient buying experience directly through their website.

Simplifying the User Journey for Higher Conversions
Without a real e-commerce flow, customers had to call or email to place orders, creating friction that hurt sales.
I needed to streamline the customer experience from browsing meals to completing checkout as efficiently as possible.
I designed intuitive product category pages, built a simplified meal selection process, and optimized the checkout flow to minimize steps and distractions.
Cart abandonment dropped significantly, online orders became the primary sales channel, and the site began generating consistent revenue without manual sales handling.

Customizing the Platform for Meal Prep Logistics
Standard e-commerce setups didn't accommodate the specific needs of a meal prep business, such as selecting delivery days or recurring weekly orders.
My job was to tailor the platform to fit the operational model of meal planning and delivery.
I customized product templates to allow for delivery date selections, created "meal bundles," and set up recurring order functionality through subscription plugins and custom code.
The business could now efficiently handle both one-time and recurring orders, dramatically improving operational predictability and customer retention.

Modernizing the Brand’s Online Image
The old website didn’t reflect the professional, fitness-oriented brand identity the company wanted to project.
I needed to modernize the site visually to match the brand's focus on health, fitness, and quality meals.
I worked closely with the owners to create a clean, energetic visual design, using high-quality meal imagery, bold typography, and customer testimonials to build trust and highlight product quality.
The new design elevated the brand perception, leading to higher user engagement, better first impressions, and more referrals from fitness partners and gyms.

Setting Up Analytics and Marketing Integrations
The old site had no meaningful tracking, making it hard to assess marketing effectiveness or customer behavior.
I needed to integrate analytics and marketing tools into the new e-commerce platform.
I implemented Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and e-commerce event tracking to monitor conversion rates, order values, and user paths. I also set up email capture and remarketing workflows.
The company gained actionable insights into customer behavior, allowing them to optimize marketing efforts and grow online sales more strategically.
